According to the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, Allah has divided sustenance into ten parts, of which nine are in commerce and business, and one in other means. During the COVID-19 lockdown, our organization launched a crucial initiative, “O Ali as Walon! Koi Bhooka Na Rehne Paye (O Followers of Ali as! Let no one go hungry!”) This led to the distribution of rations until May 31, 2020. When this program ended, the ongoing demands revealed a dire situation of unemployment, with many families still facing severe hardships, unable to afford even basic necessities like education and healthcare for their children.

Motivated by a renewed sense of purpose, we began the slogan, Ali as Walon! Koi Berozgaar na rehne paye apni roi khud kamaye” (O Followers of Imam Ali as! Let no one remain unemployed; and earn livelihood on their own!”) With this, our institution embarked on the vital but challenging task of creating job opportunities. We started small, enabling small-scale businesses with modest funds, which brought encouraging results with the cooperation of the community and the grace of Allah.

As of January 22, 2023:
– 935 individuals have applied for business loans.
– 623 people have become employed, receiving a total of 25,50,846 rupees in loans.
– Loans ranging from 3,000 to 10,000 rupees are provided.
– Daily repayments are collected between 20 to 50 rupees.

These enterprises include food stalls, fruit and vegetable carts, mini general stores, and the sale of clothing and footwear for children, women, and men, as well as plastic goods and utensils, among approximately 65 different types of small businesses operated on carts and tables.

We initially started this campaign in Lucknow, where it was successful, and experimented beyond Lucknow with 16 individuals. Now, we are prepared to expand this service nationwide. As awareness of our program grows, so does the demand. We urge you to participate in this campaign.

On average, a business start-up costs about 5,000 rupees per person. You can either sponsor one or more individuals to start a business or help make others aware of this opportunity. Even if you cannot donate, consider providing a loan to our organization; we guarantee repayment. If you choose not to reclaim the loaned amount, it will be used to fund another individual’s business, thus continuing as a perpetual charity.

Join us in this campaign to provide livelihoods for the needy and earn the reward of alleviating hunger.
